BOUMA PAUL E. April 16, 1924 to Nov. 26, 2013. Paul E. Bouma, 89, Duncansville, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. He was born in Coraopolis, son of the late John and Esther (Gass) Bouma. He married Alice Kelly in Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Alice Holmes and husband, George and Linda Osborne and husband, Dennis; and four grandchildren, Wayne and Daniel Holmes and Steven and Kelly Osborne. He was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin. Paul was a 1943 graduate of Coraopolis High School and a 1949 graduate of Duquesne University. He was employed as a sales manager for National Lead Co. of Pittsburgh and Hightstown, NJ and Fry Metals, Altoona. After retirement, he worked as a tipstaff at the Blair County Courthouse. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg. Paul held volunteer positions with First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg, Blair County Redevelopment & Housing Authority (COBRAH), Altoona Food Bank, Jaffa Shrine, and Hollidaysburg Area Public Library. He also served as a councilman for Bellevue Borough in Allegheny County in the early 1970s. He enjoyed working, volunteering, golfing, and gardening and also enjoyed the people he met through those endeavors. Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at THE GOOD FUNERAL HOME INC., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Pastor Chuck Monts officiating. Interment will be in Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
