POLLICE LAURA Age 99, of Whitehall, at home on Wednesday, December 18, with her sister by her side. Laura was the beloved sister of Martha, of Whitehall, and the late Lina, Alfio and Claudio Pollice; loving aunt of Agnese and Sandro Pollice (deceased), Agnes Brandis and Robert Vukas. Laura was born to Agnese and Giacinto Pollice on April 2, 1914, in the town of Gamberale, Abruzzo, Italy. When the family moved to the neighboring town of Ateleta, Laura found her happiness in her beloved mountains when it snowed, for she was an enthusiastic and avid skier. Following World War II, Laura came to the United States with her mother and sisters to join her brother, Alfio Pollice, in Pittsburgh. Laura was an accomplished seamstress who took great pride in her work. She worked at Larrimor's in the Union Trust Building for many years. Upon her retirement she dedicated herself to her family. Laura was deeply devoted in her faith and loved all of God's creations. Laura had a truly kind and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
