GROETZINGER ELEANOR ANN In Ohio, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tues., Jan. 14, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Arthur P.; mother of Eileen (Joe) Wilhem, Richard (friend Brenda), John (Kim) and the late Harry Groetzinger; grandmother of John, Jr., Gage, Nate and Kelly (Josh); great-grandmother of Brianna, Joshua, Faith and Alexander; daughter of the late Frank and Anna Trosky; sister of Barbara, Marianne and the late Frank, Richard, and Robert Trosky and Katherine; also many beloved nieces and nephews. The only hurt she ever caused was when she left us-- laughter and kindness defined Eleanor. She had a natural curiosity and love of life, as well as a strong dose of mischief. She was a fabulous cook and an avid shopper. She loved a bargain and had exquisite taste. Hats were her trademark. One of her true joys, besides her family, was her Corvair convertible. Dressed to the nines with a large bonnet to match, she drove around smiling in style. Friends received Thursday only 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the THOMAS P. KUNSAK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A Funeral Mass will be held in Incarnation of the Lord Parish on Friday at 10 a.m. The family asks that attendees wear bright colors and ladies wear a hat as Eleanor would. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider doing something special with those you love or make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association. Send condolences at post-gazette.com/gb
