ONDECHEK JOSEPH J. Age 83, of Duquesne, on July 3, 2013. Son of the late Joseph and Helen (Sabol) Ondechek and stepson of the late Geraldine F. (DeWitt) Ondechek. He was a retired foreman for US Steel, Homestead Works Structural Department. After retiring, he drove a schoolbus for Bamford Motor Express. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. During his illness, he was loved and cared for by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Beloved husband of 60 years to Helen C. (Dobransky) Ondechek; father of Jay (Monica) Ondechek of Blandon, PA, Lynn (Eddie Eicheldinger) Popovich of West Mifflin, Terry (James) Marraway of Pittsburgh, Joey Ondechek, Jr. of Duquesne, and Colleen Ondechek of West Mifflin; proud Pappy of Ronald (Beth) Faulds, Sharon (Matt) Mols, Cathlene (Bryan) Ondechek, Cierra Raymond, and Chassidy Raymond; great-grandfather of Devan Faulds and Brielle; brother of the late William Ondechek, Susan Fonzi, and John Ondechek; also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY -SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300.
