HAYWARD GERALDINE MARIE Formerly of Pittsburgh, then St. Petersburg, Florida, then back to Pittsburgh, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at Shadyside Hospital. She was born September 15, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of Dr. Charles and Mary Pauley. Geraldine was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Murray and brother Charles Pauley. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Kristan Hayward. Geraldine was the most exciting mother to her daughter. She was full of life, always wanting to have fun, loved to go to restaurants, loved people and liked to travel. Geraldine went to St. Margaret's Grade School (grades 1-8) and went to St. Paul's Cathedral for high school. Geraldine graduated from Mount Mercy College and majored in Dietetics. Geraldine worked at Mayview State Hospital, then moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1979. There she worked at Apollo Medical Center which later became Humana Hospital Sun Bay. Geraldine loved living in Florida with her daughter, Kristan, and her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Pauley, and her brother and sisters. The Tampa Bay area was a fun area to explore and there was so many enjoyable things to do. Geraldine is also survived by her siblings, Virginia Davis of Washington, PA, Michael Pauley of St. Petersburg, FL, Lawrence Pauley of St. Petersburg, FL, Linda Thwaite of St. Petersburg, FL, and Elaine Oddis of Upper St. Clair. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends received at the HERSHBERGER-STOVER, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 310 Mansfield Ave., Green Tree.
