MARIANI JOSEPH W., Jr. Age 89, of Rennerdale, on March 9, 2014. Preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of many years, Joy Mariani; his parents, Jean (Morganti) and Joseph Mariani, Sr.; and his sister, LaVerne Whitecap. Joe served proudly with the U.S. Army during WWII and was the longtime owner and operator of the Rennerdale Market. He was an avid Pirates fan and never called his family members by their given name; he came up with a special nick name for everyone. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Brian (Jill) Whitecap, Sheryl (Larry) Woodall, Debra (Dave) Brennan, Ronald (Terry) Vercammen, Timothy Vercammen, Annette (Mike) Magdich, Bonnie Vezie, Lori Tracy, and Paula Vercammen; sister-in-law, Teenie Vercammen; and many caring family members, friends, and neighbors. Joe will be remembered as a loving and generous man who always put others before himself.
