McCARTHY WILLIAM ROBERT Passed away at home on Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1935 to Terry John and Catherine A. McCarthy. He moved to High Springs, FL in 2000, from Accokeek, MD. He was an aircraft mechanic for Eastern and American Airlines and attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Accokeek and High Springs Lion Club. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Leive) McCarthy of High Springs; son, Tim McCarthy of Newberry, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Jane-Marie and Jon Everett of Orange Springs, FL; brother of Terry J. McCarthy, Jr. of Pittsburgh, and sister, Joan Bittner of Pittsburgh; and five grandchildren, Erin Rose and Daniel Liam McCarthy, Ian Richard, Augustus William, and Brennan Michael Everett.
