FERRIS FR. THOMAS B. Father Tom had a Holy and peaceful death on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Son of the late Edward J., Sr. and Alice (Dunbar) Ferris; brother of E.J. (Catherine) Ferris, Mary A. (Carl) Lamb, and Dennis O. (Ilona) Ferris of Reynoldsburg, OH; survived also by many nieces and nephews. Father Tom's assignments were as follows: St. James Parish - Sewickley, PA, St. Paul's Cathedral - Pittsburgh, PA, he spent five years with the St. James Society in the missions to South America, St. Joseph Parish - Coraopolis, PA, St. Agatha Parish - Ellwood City, PA, St. Francis of Assisi Parish - Finleyville, PA, St. Patrick Parish - Cannonsburg, PA, and St. Cyril of Alexandria Parish - Pittsburgh, PA. Friends may call Thursday, March 20, 2014, 2-4 p.m. at the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, with Translation with Vespers to St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow at the church from 7 until 9 p.m. Visitation on Friday, March 21, 2014, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church Friday at 11 a.m. with the Principal Celebrant being Bishop David Zubik and homilist Father Robert Boyle.
