BATES DAVID MONTGOMERY Of Mt. Lebanon, age 89, passed away on May 6, 2014. Beloved husband of Jean Bates for 35 years until her death in 1981. He is survived by his children, David, Jr. (Samantha) and John (Mary); his current wife of 32 years, Patricia; seven grandchildren; and three stepchildren. A graduate of Miami University of Ohio, David was employed at U.S. Steel for over 36 years and subsequently directed the Interfaith Re-Employment Group in Mt. Lebanon for 17 years. David served in the U.S. Navy as a Supply Corps Ensign during World War II. All services will be private.
