Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Easley; and his in-laws, Frank and Anna Rodgers. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" and his loving children, Jessica and Brendan; and most recently his "fur babies", J.J. and Louie; also survived by his siblings, Helen (Harry) Stokes, John "Jack" and Elizabeth Easley; and special in-laws, Edwin and Andrea Fischl; nieces and nephews, Audean (Russ) Donatelli, Richard Stokes, Jennifer (Tim) Yurkiewicz, Christian (Lisa) Easley, Jamie (Katie) Easley, Marta Ann (Nick) Fischl-Styler, Mark Fischl, Peter Fischl, Adrian Fischl; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. His love for teaching spilled over into a great deal of his leisure time being spent refereeing basketball and umpiring baseball games. He was often referred to as the "man that would give you the shirt from his back. Bernie was a board member of the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Bankers Associations. He was a board member of the PA Institute of Banking and served as one of its past presidents and instructors. He served on the board of directors of the Chapter International Credit Association and as one of the past presidents.
