SCOTTI LOUIS NEIL, MD 80, of St. Simons Island, GA, passed away on July 22, 2013 with his loving family by his side, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Clara and Louis Scotti, he graduated from St. Peter's University and New York Medical College. He proudly raised his family in Pittsburgh, PA. For five years, he was Assistant Professor of Neuroradiology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and later became Director of the MRI Unit at St. Francis Medical Center. He retired to St. Simons Island, GA with Regina, his loving wife of 55 years. Over the last 20 years, Lou was captivated by the beauty of St. Simons, inspiring him as a painter and poet.
