HOOD EDWARD J. On July 22, 2013, age 81, of West Homestead. Beloved husband of 49 yrs. to Kay F. (Longo) Hood; loving father of Mary Frances Hood and H. Edward Hood; beloved son of the late Edward J. and Sarah (Pigott) Hood; loving brother of the late Mary Louise Hood Gombos; loving brother-in-law of Barbara Longo and Sr. Frances Ann Longo of Manitowoc, WI; cherished uncle of Thomas (Melanie) Gombos of Venice, FL; and great-uncle of Thomas (Shelley) Gombos and Bradley Gombos of Venice, FL. Proud member of the 1950 Homestead High School State Basketball Champions, Ed was a graduate of W. Virginia Wesleyan College and a 2002 W. Virginia Wesleyan College Hall of Fame Inductee. He was a member of the WVIAC All-Conference Basketball and Track. He was a supervisor for 37 years with US Steel.
