TETLOW FRANK N., M.D. 96, of Friendship Village, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Frank was born in East Pittsburgh on August 27, 1916 and was the son of the late Fred and Florence Nield Tetlow. Beloved husband of the late Jane Egan Tetlow; devoted father of Frank F. (Nancy) Tetlow of Mt. Lebanon, JoAnn (Pete) Welch of Ashtabula, OH and Mary Beth (Michael) DeNiro of Santa Barbara, CA; brother of the late Doris (the late Joseph) Grofic; loving grandfather of Laura (Larry) Green, Heather (Matt) Cleary, Frank T. (Jordan) Tetlow, Jason (Amy) Tetlow, Nate (Karly) Tetlow, Justin (Jaime) Casciola, Allan (Lisa) Casciola, Anne (Domingo) Gomez, Meghan (Benny Wizansky) DeNiro and Maura DeNiro: also survived by 23 great-grandchildren. Dr. Tetlow was a graduate of East Pittsburgh High School, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he earned his Medical Degree. He served with the Navy Medical Corps in the South Pacific during WWII. Dr. Tetlow was a longtime surgeon in the Pittsburgh area. He enjoyed his family vacations to the Outer Banks and Marco Island. In addition to his family and career, his passions were photography and golf. He was a longtime member of Chartiers Country Club. The family wishes to thank the management and staff at Friendship Village and especially the staff in the Health Center for their wonderful care for Frank over the past few years.
