KEATING ROBERT T., JR. Age 60, of Moon Township, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sewickley, on October 7, 1952. Beloved husband for 39 years to Carol (Macklin) Keating; cherished son of Betty (Kopp) Keating and the late Robert T. Keating, Sr.; loving father of Jennifer Keating (Ed), Angel Wissel (John), Kim Keating (Gracie) and Robert Keating III; devoted grandfather of John Wissel, Jr. and Alayna Wissel; brother of Elizabeth Keating, Kathleen Crivilli (George), and the late Barbara Keating Landa; including many loving brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Bob, currently worked for Pioneer Supply Company, was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the McKees Rocks American Legion, and former member of Forest Grove Sportsman Club. He proudly served in Germany in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had a relaxed nature and he enjoyed bonfires with friends, family and Bob Seger, all a part of his fun loving nature that drew friends from everywhere. The avid Steelers fan's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and traveling. Family will receive friends at the COPELAND MOON TWP. FUNERAL HOME, 981 Brodhead Rd., visitation Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 with prayer on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church at 11 a.m. Father Andrew Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.
